Msgr. Dale Fushek ExcommunicatedI received this from my sister-in-law earlier today. Let us pray for Msgr. Dale, and Fr. Dippre, as well as Bishop Olmstead. I'm sure it was a very difficult decision to take serious action and required great fortitude. I have met him several times and he is a very sweet man and solid Bishop.
Let us pray that his example of courage might be an example for other Bishops out there. We do not pray for excommunications for we should want others to be holier than us provided we become as holy as we should (from the Litany of Humility), but we should pray for justice in all cases of the misconduct of priests.
