OUTSTANDING!
I took this dare last May...and have worn pant twice since due to cold...considering converting some jeans to skirts as I saw a really cute idea.
I started yesterday and I am soooo excited about it!
How terrific!
My daughter and I already wear skirts/dresses full time, so it's not much of a "dare" at this point! :)
I hosted a "7 Days in a Dress" challenge on my blog back in December -- for some people, just a week was intimidating enough! LOL! (http://www.as-for-my-house.com/2010/12/take-the-challenge/)
So glad to see others sharing about this important topic...
we are full time skirt wearers. we will joyfully accept your dare and recommit to wearing skirts for the month of may. ALL FOR JESUS THROUGH MARY!

Wearing a dress doesn't make a woman feminine OR modest. There are dresses out there that are slinky, revealing, and, pardon my language, slutty. It's insulting to think that someone thinks they're more modest and feminine than me JUST because I enjoy blue jeans. Femininity and modesty are not products of the style of clothing you wear, but rather the cut of that clothing and the mindset and attitude of the person wearing it. Maybe the focus shouldn't be on dresses and skirts, but attitudes and actions befitting a modest young woman.
I will reclaim my femininity in pants, thank you very much. That way, when I have to climb over an obstacle, I will not have to worry about endangering said modesty.
I don't think I've worn a pair of pants in the last 8 years. It's true that some dresses are not modest and I am sure the ladies who started this dare are not even considering that anyone would think those counted as modest. I wear fairly long flowing skirts and never have to worry about being immodest climbing over an obstacle, which is a fairly rare occurance anyway.
I think this is a wonderful idea. I will do my best, although after just having a baby 4 months ago, I don't fit back into too many of my skirts yet ;-)
Funny how I saw this today and the past 2 days I've worn a dress. I'm definitely on-board! Sounds fun!
Ok Count in in!!
I just picked up 2 denim skirts last week and have been wearing them ever since! (now if folks ask me why I keep wearing the same thing all week I can tell them I am taking the "Skirt Dare"!!!
I need to get a few more skirts!
Peace and Love,

I started wearing just skirts and dresses about a year and a half ago and our daughter also just wears dresses or skirts. I will participating by rededicating myself and my family to striving to Mary-like modesty in thought, word and dress.
I joined last year, and I'm in again. (I cannot believe it's already been a year!?!) I love that you ladies stand so strong in a culture that is so opposed to this in so many ways. Thank you for your example and encouragement!
I want to be like Mary, too, but I don't get what skirts have to do with that. She didn't wear jeans OR skirts. Can't we just be modest without worrying about the skirt/dress thing all the time?
I started this dare at the beginning of the year! I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon!
