Yeah Mary I don't know that it would work perfectly in today's society. Not everyone has parents who they trust to choose their spouse. It was often due to the parents sort of arranging or strongly hinting at marraiges that brought about matches. There are so many things about this kind of courtship though that really can still apply.

It would have made me feel more secure as a young lady, and our daughters now feel the same!
The one issue I take with that system of courtship is that women basically had to wait around to be chosen and if no one chose you too bad so sad!
